Belgariad/Malloreon Map

I'm in the middle of re-reading The Belgariad (and The Malloreon sequal) series by David Eddings. When diving into a rather large high-fantasy series, you can be fairly sure the world within it is going to be massive. I find that if I have a map for reference as I read, I can immerse myself in the world that much more by being able to visualize the distances and topology.

I found a fantastic fan-created map of the entire world on DeviantArt that I can't seem to praise enough. My awe of this map is amplified by the fact that I could find absolutely no other descent maps for this terrific series at all.

This is a (very) small version of the map just to show you the quality. Check out the artists page at DeviantArt. To appreciate the map in all its glory, however, you should contact the artists through dA and request the full-scale version. Be warned, it is a 48mb JPEG, with a res of 10958x8000.

PC Piracy pushing Epic Games to consoles

"While Epic Games has a long-standing heritage with the PC, recent years have signaled a shift in its business strategy. The Unreal Tournament developer has devoted an increasing amount of time and resources towards the console market, as evidenced by format exclusives like Gears of War 2. Why did Epic forgo its roots? Piracy."

8 Psychotic Overreactions by Adults at Youth Sporting Events | Cracked.com

"Anybody who played sports as a kid has probably had one or both of their parents behave in such a ridiculously embarrassing manner during a game that it still makes us cringe just to think about it. So it should come as no surprise that on athletic fields around the world, the phenomena known as Sideline Rage (that is, adults acting like unbalanced assholes during children's sporting events) seems to gotten even more terrifying since we were kids."
